We have begun this sacred work. Listening to the Universe, hearing the call. Some of us have heard and have announced what we intend. What next? How do we leap the chasm between "I want that!" and "Havingness"?

In a previous letter I mentioned that the first step is writing your intention in your Naked Heart application. If you have already taken that step… Thank You!!. For those still listening for the call of the Universe, Perfect!… there is still time.

For those who have taken the first step, the next steps are to make your contribution to Naked Heart and to acquire a Burning Man ticket.

In the past, I have attempted to make the buying of Burning Man entry tickets risk-free. That was because I perceived the need to corral this precious resource as a community. Towards that end, I organized elaborate systems so that we had plenty of tickets and yet no one would get stuck with a ticket they didn't want. However, this year will be different.

The Burning Man ticket economy is changing, with 2024 being the first year in over a decade where tickets did not sell out. 2025 was the same. There are many reasons for this, including the weather challenges of the previous two years and the broader state of the economy. A few years ago, this would have seemed unfathomable, but in true Burning Man spirit, we are continuously shown to expect the unexpected.

The bulk of this letter will be solid information on how to obtain a ticket to the Burning Man Event

Tickets

One of the advantages of being part of a large camp like Naked Heart is that we are connected to a lot of people in other camps. This is useful when we need to get rid of tickets or vehicle passes. Every year about 40 people decide that they can no longer make it to the Burn. They need to offload their camp membership and their tickets. We have always been able to find a way to make that happen, but your choices determine the outcomes.

Tickets are now sold at many different price levels. Naked Heart cannot guarantee that we will find a home for your extra ticket if you pay more than $675 for it. All the tickets sold in the Stewards Sale are guaranteed to be at the $675 level. The Main Sale in April will largely be $775 tickets. This is why it is so important that everyone participate in the Stewards Sale.

What I Recommend about Tickets

I suggest that everyone who is thinking of attending this year attempt to get tickets in any and all sales but to never spend more than the $675 tier.

BMORG is advising "pay as much as you can to leave lower priced tickets for those who need them". I fully support that for tickets that you personally know that you will be using. If you are unsure of your plans, make the extra effort to get the cheaper tickets and do not spend more than $675. These cheaper tickets will be easy to sell on STEP. The higher priced tickets will be impossible to sell.

Once you have applied on the page above, I will enter your e-mail address into the sale. The Org will send you an e-mail to let you know the next steps. You must purchase your tickets between Mar 4, 12pm to March 11, 12pm PST.

It is the same for Vehicle passes. I will not assign vehicle passes for those who are clearly not driving to the event. If you want to make sure I assign you the slot to buy a pass, e-mail me.

Ticket Aid

The application for Ticket Aid is opening very early this year: February 25. I suggest that everyone who thinks they can qualify apply for this program. We get about 20% of our tickets this way. We have instructions for how to be successful in this sale on our Wiki:

You may think that you do not qualify for reduced price tickets. Think again. They base their awards on many factors and those who live in very expensive areas like New York, Bay Area, or Europe sometimes report incomes of $80,000 especially when they have children and are supporting households.

Vibe Team

We want to welcome you into the Vibe Team for 2026! This is the space where you can make real change in Naked Heart. We are in charge of most of the "soft" structures of camp. Including: creating a safer space for all, kitchen dynamics, the Monday meeting, inclusion and diversity, internal events, landing on playa, contribution shift coordination, workshop wrangling, emote-a-thon planning, and more! Most things are able to be adjusted, or even torn down and rebuilt. So, if you want to have the biggest impact on how camp feels on playa, then join the Vibe Team through the link below. You can have any level of commitment here, including just showing up to the general Vibe Team meetings and offering thoughts, joining a sub team and helping take care of small to medium tasks, or even leading a sub team and getting your contribution shifts covered on playa! It takes a lot of people on the Vibe Team to make a difference in camp. Everyone is welcome, even if this is your first year with us.

Build Team

I have received quite a few e-mails recently. They have been from members who are inquiring about how they can be a part of the early Build team for this year. In January! Yes, Build is that special. You see, there is no other part of this whole Burning Man experience that comes close to Build. It is the one moment when we are all looking inward. There is nothing to see on the playa yet. We are all working along side each other. We are supporting each other; we are encouraging our camp mates. Hell, I have people each year who say "I want to come for Build, but I don't want to stay for the Burn." I get it. Me too.. sort of.

We are taking Build to the next level this year. We are establishing our team leads early. We are training in our craft. We are perfecting our art and we are dumping in a huge dose of intention. I need your help with this. I need a lot of help in general, but I really need some capable people by my side to properly instantiate our camp as we build this thing we call Naked Heart. Interactivity Ideas

Last year was an amazing year for Naked Heart on Playa. Not only did we present about 170 workshops, we also had a vibrant scene of interactivity under our Jellyfish shaded courtyard. We had parked 3 massage table there and people had set up a community massage exchange. In the past people have used the puzzle mats for Acroyoga. Sometimes we have had eye gazing stations. We want to do more of that. All the people who are waiting around for the next workshop are a resource that we can funnel into ever more profound communion.

This is an invitation for you to imagine offerings that can be ignited in our courtyard. What would you like to experience? What would you like to lead? What is the world requesting of us? Please put your ideas into an e-mail and send it to me.
